Tubing
How much tubing comes with the unit?
Over 6ft of tubing with our 300mm (12") Tubzzz® and 400mm (16") Tubzzz®
The standard suggested tubing length is 2m or less for the best result. However, we can cut tubing to the required length. Please bear in mind, that maximum tubing length shouldn't exceed 2m (78") for 300mm (12") Tubzzz®, 3m (118") for 400mm (16") Tubzzz®
Can I get additional tubing?
Yes. If you need more tubing we will provide you with additional one meter modules.
For instance, if at the time of order you desire 3m of tubing instead of the standard 2m of tubing simply order an additional one meter of tubing (please remember 2m of tubing is automatically included with your order). Furthermore, it is far better to order a little extra tubing if you are in doubt of your needs. We sell our tubing at about 1/3 to 1/2 the price of our competitors to ensure that you will have enough tubing to do an easy and professional installation.
Can I bend the Tubzzz® tubing?
Yes, this is a major advantage of the Tubzzz® flexible tubing. You can bend it at almost any point. However, the maximum angle of the bend should not exceed 90 degrees. Please note that the shorter and straighter the tubing is the more light it will provide.

Do I get less light by lenghtening tubing?
Yes. The longer tubing is the less light it will provide.

Can I install Tubzzz® on any roof type?
Yes! Unlike our competitor's products Tubzzz® does not require lead adaptors! Our roof flashing, which is the large square plate that ensures a watertight fit, is made of 0.7mm thin pliable aluminium. Tubzzz® can be installed on almost any roof type: tile, slate, corrugated iron, metal, felt or bitumen covered etc.

One 300mm (12") Tubzzz® with 2m of tubing will brighten up a 6 square meter/64 square feet room.
One 400mm (16") Tubzzz® with 2m of tubing will brighten up a 8 square meter/86 square feet room.
Please understand, that NO tubular skylight, including Tubzzz®, can "amplify" light or create more light than comes in through the roof dome. Therefore, the time of day, time of year and position of your Tubzzz® on the roof will all affect the amount of light you receive.

What is the best location for the roof dome?
It is best to install the roof dome on a south-facing part of your roof. That is the location most exposed to sunlight in the UK. Nonetheless, installing a dome on north, east or west-facing parts of a roof doesn't necessarily cause much light loss. Most importantly, you must use your common sense and personal knowledge of your home. "Sun in is sun out". If a building is blocking your route to the sun, sadly, there is nothing that even Tubzzz® can do to help.
Do I need a special installer for my Tubzzz® and can you refer me to such a person? Installing Tubzzz® is not a particularly complicated process, however we have a special list of our own roofers. Condensation
Are there any condensation problems?
No. Tubzzz® is completely sealed at the roof to prevent the air from the outside from travelling down the tube. The loosely fitted diffuser at the ceiling allows the inside air to mix with the tube air, eliminating the air temperature contrast that contributes to condensation.
Heat
Is there any heat loss?
Only a negligible amount of heat is released.
Maintenance
Are Tubzzz® maintenance free?
Yes! The revolutionary design of Tubzzz® renders it maintenance free!
How do I clean Tubzzz®?
The outer dome doesn't require any special maintaince or cleaning. It gets cleaned by rain or snow. You won't have to clean the flexible tubing either. If a diffuser gets dirty you can clean it with a soft, moist rag.
